Dearest Scotland

A great new website that has been launched called Dearest Scotland, which gives people a voice and the ability to write their thoughts about Scotland today. And the great thing is, it isn’t all about politics, which has been the main voice for the past few months in the face of the Independence Referendum in September. It is just a way to give the people of Scotland an outlet to share their thoughts and feelings on where they see Scotland in the future and what should happen. During our lecture with Lauren Currie today she gave us letter templates and the opportunity to write to Scotland ourselves. It was something I enjoyed and it had quite a cathartic effect as the future of Scotland is something I feel strongly about and all the political talk can be quite overwhelming. So having a chance to write something non-political to the country that I love and grew up in was definitely great; almost like writing in a journal.
